Business consultant. Strategic advisor. Dallas.
Andrew Hillman advises healthcare, biotech, and investor-backed ventures. This site is the advisory practice: growth consulting and regulatory strategy.
No press logos are claimed. The operating record stands on primary public sources.
The advice comes from someone who has been accountable for the outcome, not only for the memo.
Two services. One operator.
Each engagement starts with the constraint that is actually holding the business back, then works the problem in the order that money and regulators respond to.
Business growth consulting
Revenue, margin, and operating discipline for clinics, practices, diagnostics groups, and investor-backed healthcare services. Fix what is leaking before adding what is new.
Business growth consulting for healthcare and biotechRegulatory strategy
Pathway mapping, milestone planning, and pressure-testing the clinical, operational, and compliance plan before it meets a regulator. Strategy support, not legal advice.
Regulatory strategy advisory for FDA-regulated venturesThe Diagnostic Advisory Engagement.
New clients start with a short, paid Diagnostic Advisory Engagement. In that engagement I assess your growth performance and your regulatory position together, because in an FDA-regulated business they are one system. What the regulator lets you do decides what you can sell and when you can sell it. A growth plan built without that constraint is a forecast, not a plan.
Kickoff session
We set the objective, the constraints, and what a useful answer looks like for you.
Document and data review
I go through what the business actually shows rather than what the deck says.
Working session
We test the findings against your reality and pressure the options together.
Final readout
The written strategy report lands, and we walk it end to end.
The engagement ends with a written strategy report and a live strategy session. The report gives you a clear picture of your growth performance and your regulatory position, and of how each one is constraining the other. The session turns that picture into concrete decisions and next steps. The report is something you can take to your board, your investors, and your counsel.
After the diagnostic, we either move into focused work on growth or on regulatory strategy, or you take the findings and act on them with your own team. The diagnostic stands on its own. It is not a sales call with a fee attached.
Discipline with capital is treated as a competitive advantage, not a constraint.Operating principle
The decision sequence.
Recommendations follow a fixed order. Documented facts outrank narrative, and where the evidence is thin, the recommendation says so.
Pathway first
The regulatory pathway is settled before anything else. It sets the requirements every later decision answers to.
Test the evidence
Scientific and regulatory claims are weighed against primary sources, filings, and the published literature.
Plan the capital
The capital plan is built to the pathway, with burn discipline and an operating cadence that matches the stage.
Team and execution
The team and execution risk are tested against the plan. Assumptions are stated so a reader can check them.
Advisory work stays inside written scope and existing regulatory rules.
The advice rests on a documented operating record.
The operating history behind this advisory is documented in primary public sources, including SEC EDGAR filings and the CMS provider registry.
